Sleep apnea

At Harrisville Dental Center, we collaborate with Sleep Apnea specialists to create custom fabricated appliance for patients that have disruptions with their breathing while sleeping. Snoring is the vibration of respiratory structures due to obstructed air movement resulting in sometimes loud and often unpleasant sounds. Patients should have a polysomnographic (sleep test) evaluation with their family physicians as to fully evaluate their sleep apnea index.

There are multiple approaches which should be discussed at your dental appointment regarding sleep apnea and snoring and this may involve different medical fields.
