Root Canals
Root canal therapy (also referred to as an Endodontic treatment) is a process to remove a painful injured nerve inside a tooth or disinfect an infected tooth. Pain, swelling and infections are immediate consequences of dental infections which are not treated. This therapy allows us to predictably save the teeth while preserving the overall health of the area which is being treated. Dental infections left untreated can spread and become life threatening in certain instances. We recommend immediate follow up if symptoms of infections are present.
Once the root canal therapy is completed, we will recommend restoring the tooth with a composite or a crown as to solidify its long-term function.
