What is a true dental emergency?

• Toothache – throbbing ache that will not subside with medication
• Swelling – localized in mouth or facial asymmetry
• Large infection
• Facial or dental trauma

If you are a patient of our practice, we will see you promptly in the case of a true emergency.  Trauma, pain and infections are true emergencies. Our office will ensure an immediate appointment that will either treat the condition directly or stabilize the condition pending a referral to a specialist if required.

Furthermore, if you have fractured a section of a tooth which is causing discomfort or fractured an anterior tooth affecting esthetics, we will also see you with very minimal delay.  We understand that these situations are relative emergencies that need to be seen as soon as possible.
